Inverloch 2025 Event - Disabled Surfers Association
Come along to INVERLOCH for a free and fun-filled day with the Disabled Surfers Association Bass Coast!
As we aim to put "smiles on dials" - our events with the help of volunteers provide a safe and enjoyable surfing experience for people with any disability.
We recommend all those wanting to get involved to PRE-REGISTER for an easy check in on the day!
If you are a Surfer Participant and will have a Carer/Guardian with you, please organise these in the same booking.
ON THE DAY RUNDOWN:
8:30am - Volunteer registration opens
10:00am - Surfer registration opens
10:30am - Water volunteer briefing
11:00am - First surf
3:00pm - Event ends
Hang and chill out after for all those keen!
SURFER PARTICIPANTS INFO:
- No experience necessary
- Surfer Registration opens from 10:00am (pre-register before arrival please)
- First surfer session in the water at 11am. Surfers finished by 3pm.
- Wetsuits available (limited sizes) if you don't have your own
- Change area and disabled toilet facilities available
- Beach access via the boardwalk ramp, noting we do have limited beach wheelchairs accessible
- A Carer/Guardian must be present with you
CARER/GUARDIAN INFO:
- At least one carer is required per surfer (100% responsible for their surfer outside of their surf time)
- Pre-registration required at the same time of processing the Surfer/Participant
- If you are a Carer/Guardian of a group of Surfers, please include all details of the Surfers who will be with you on the day within the 1 booking.
OTHER NOTES/INFO:
- Bring your own sunscreen, towel, water bottle, hat, swimsuit and/or wetsuit if you have one!
- Beach wheelchairs available
- Beach access via the boardwalk ramp/wheelchair matting
- Sunscreen will be available if you forget!
- Free sausage sizzle and fresh fruit provided, but feel free to bring your own snacks too! (GF and VEG options available!)
- Water available for refills
