Join Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria for a Sensing Nature Walk in the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.

Come and explore nature using all your senses.

Together with nature guides, Rachel DeSumma (BSRV Program Manager) and Marg, we will move slowly around the gardens, taking our time to explore the scents, sounds and textures of the gardens, offering invitations to explore our non-visual senses. 

This walk is an all abilities walk for people with low vision or blindness, or other physical or intellectual disabilities.

We will explore some of the different landscapes, flora and fauna along the Australian Garden within the park taking our time to really notice and appreciate our surroundings.

When: Wednesday 13 December 10:30-2pm

Where: Meeting at the Cranbourne Gardens Entry Shelter opposite the Main entrance car park

What to wear / bring:

  • Comfortable sun smart and weather appropriate clothes
  • Sturdy shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Snacks and / or lunch

Lunch: We will gather for lunch at 1pm. You can bring your own lunch or order food and drinks at the Boon Wurrung Café inside the gardens.

Activity Cost: There is no cost to participate in this program, aside from purchasing your own lunch.
